February stitching and IHSW

I can't believe that February is already almost gone!!
This month I stitched only on Sampler aux Boquets and I've finished part 1:
I had some problems while stitching it, I've been visited by nasty frogs and that big bird at the bottom had to be re-stitched.
I hoped to work on it during IHSW last weekend and to get a lot of part 2 done but I didn't.
The weather was just gorgeous, sunny and warm, a little bit of spring anticipated: it was too bad to stay inside so the stitching time was very limited and this is all I've stitched:

Anyway, I'm really pleased with how it's turning out and I want to stick with it until it will be all done.

As I've previously said, this year I really want to focus on my wips with NO new starts... that said I've just bought Paradigm Found (the Big Brother of Paradigm Lost) by Julia Line at Long Dog Samplers and the first 3 sheeps of "Little Sheeps Virtues" by LHN...

Hope to be back soon with new progress.

Happy stitching!

IHSW January report

I've totally forgotten how you do this, so even though I knew I would have been hermitting (thank you Joysze for commenting on my last post) I forgot to sign up on her blog, sorry about that!

Anyway, I'm really proud of my hermitting, I've put together a great amout of stitches, you'll see.

I wanted to work on ATW and finish part one, but my methallic gold thread has been eaten by the house so I've picked up Sampler aux bouquets.

This is the before pic, just a small bird, right where I've left it after starting it back in July.

And this is the after pic

What do you say? I think I've done pretty good, and I've even remembered to leave the couch to feed DH and the furry friends, I didn't let them starve ;-)

I've really enjoyed my stitching, something that really did not happen in 2013: last year I've mainly worked on my ring bearer cushion, that I love but has been a real nightmare to stitch... but it deserves a post of his own... coming soon.

Off to see your IHWS reports and many thanks to everyone who is taking the time to pass here and maybe leave a comment... THANK YOU!!!

Hopefully back on track - WIPocalypse 2014 January Check in

Hello there!
Here I am with a brand new start of the blog. As I've said in the post title I hope to be back on track not only with the blog but with my crafting too: it has been really chaotic during 2013.

As soon as I've seen the 2014 WIPocalypse on Measi's blog I've decided to join back again: my resolution for 2014 is "NO new starts, YES WIPS!". During the past years I've started way too many projects, stitching, knitting and crocheting wise, so I really feel the time has come to cut the list!!!

As this year WIPocalypse is not only about posting our progresses but there's also a monthly discussion topic, I'll start from that.

Introduce yourself, your projects, and any goals you have for the year.

Valentina, 27, freshly married to the love of my life Roberto.

Still living in Piemonte, Italy: no longer in a small country village some 40 kilometers away from the city of Turin, but on a really nice hillside, with a great view on the country below, and of my little hometown, some 50 kilometers away from Turin.

Leaving with three furry friends: Jacko, Diva and Shaggy.

Actually in search for a new job. Thinking about a baby, maybe later this year...

My projects can be all described with just two words: TOO MANY!

18 stitching wips, 5 crocheting wips and 3 knitting wips: a big total of 26!!

1.A really old and battered sweater in need of new sleeves: finish the rather crazy right sleeve and make the left one. 2.Safire by Hilary Smith Callis (done apart from sewing the ends in and attach 5 buttons... still to find them!) 3. A new beret for DH: another one from Drops Design.

Just one goal for 2014: finish as many wips as I can!

That's all for now! I'll do my best to stay back on track.

See you (hopefully) soon with a stitching update.
